Photography for a good cause.

Last night, 30 August 2012, saw the LifeXchange Wine Auction at The Fire & Ice Hotel Cape Town bring in an outstanding R90 000 plus for a most worthwhile cause, South African youths at risk.

From LifeXchanges’ inception in late 2007 they have garnered much success with their revolutionary one-on-one mentorship approach to youth intervention (backed by the University of Stellenbosch) and are on track to develop a unique and proven on-on-one mentorship process to combat the global epidemic of underprivileged youths turning to lives of crime, drugs and ultimately prison or death is forever altering this pre-determined outcome, one youth at a time.

In July 2012 Contrast chose this exceptional NPO as their CSR focus moving forward and is currently re-branding and building the LifeXchange strategy alongside their ambitious plans for global domination.

Last nights’ Auction was a resounding success, with around only 90 patrons bringing in an estimated R90 000 of revenue for the NPO. LifeXchange, with their new partner Contrast Studio, hope to double this effort with not only a follow up Auction, but also the launch of a PSA for the TAG awards, an updated and impactful brand image alongside exciting opportunities and strategic alignments in the works.

Remember you read it here first, watch this space for life changing stories where YOU get to be the difference you wish to see.

LifeXchange Wine Auction highlights:

  • Stephen Geldenhuys’ startling series of portraits of youths in Ocean View brought in an outstanding R10 900
  • A Magnificent etching of Madiba himself was bought by One Small Seed founder & editor-in-chief Giuseppe Russo for R8 500
  • A barrel of Val De Vie wine (300 bottles) was snapped up for R22 000
  • Not to mention a simple shot of tequila going for R150!

What a wonderful way to spend an evening, do good and make a real difference.

We salute the Life X Change team for their unfailing commitment and proud focus, not to mention a fabulous evening, and we are most excited about the possibilities and opportunities now open to us as a partnership committed to doing good, exceptionally.
